When a stranger scans a Snifftag, they're sent to a public profile with your pet's photo, name, and any safety notes you've added. Yes. QR tags supplement microchips — they're not regulated separately. Microchipping for dogs and cats is mandatory in the UK; a QR tag adds the layer that helps a stranger help right now, before your pet ever ends up at a vet to be scanned.
Does Snifftag work with the UK Kennel Club registration?
Yes. Each pet's profile in Snifftag has a registry section where you can add UK Kennel Club name and registration number. With your permission, finders can see this on the scan page — useful for verifying a stolen-and-recovered pet.
How much does a QR pet tag cost in the UK?
Snifftag is £2.50 per month for the first pet, £2 for the second, and £1 per pet from the third onwards. Annual billing is 10% cheaper. The 14-day free trial doesn't charge your card for the first two weeks — cancel anytime.
